The 2012 London Marathon
Monday, 23 April 2012 23:48

Yesterday morning we were at Blackheath to catch the start of the 2012 London Marathon. The marathon is always an enormous all day festival and this year was no exception. It's always a lot of fun and worth going just to see all the people who turn up in fancy dress.

Tragically, yesterday's all day party was marred by late afternoon news reports that a young woman running for charity collapsed and died close to the finish. In the past few hours thousands have left messages of condolence and made donations to her charity here.
Close to 38,000 people ran the London Marathon consisting of people from all walks of life, from television celebrities to fun runners to professional athletes. This year's winners were Wilson Kipsang and Mary Keitany, both from Kenya.

New Heritage Troop London bags
Friday, 13 April 2012 01:05

We've added 3 new bags to our shop with Troop London's new Heritage range of bags for 2012. There are 2 new messenger bags in black and khaki, and a new khaki coloured backpack.

These bags look really sharp and stylish, and like all Troop London gear they're tough as nails. The Troop London range of products really do seem to keep getting better year on year. Click here to see the messenger bags or see the backpack.

Add some colour to your briefcase
Monday, 26 March 2012 20:12

Everywhere you look, the standard colours for briefcases these days are either black or occasionally brown. For some reason other colours don't get much of a look in. Maybe it's because people think conservative shades like black and brown are more suitable for a work environment.

Personally, we're a bit bored with the same old uniform look all the time. There's no harm in splashing out on a bit of colour every once in a while. So we asked our resident photographer to snap photos of one of our Ashwood cognac coloured briefcases, and it came out so well we thought we'd post it here (the bag looks even better in real life.)

Just like the black coloured version, the briefcase has two main internal sections and a couple of large pockets at the front. The usual mobile phone and pen holders are inside and a matching leather shoulder strap is included.

There's also an A4 size zipped pocket at the back for storing newspapers or magazines so you can quickly retrieve them without having to open the main flap. Click here for more.

Professional photos really improve websites
Monday, 19 March 2012 21:44

It's been a few weeks since our last blog post, but the latest news from the team here is about our photography department. The budget has grown to a point we can now get an expert in to do the job.

We'd like to thank Juan, a trained portrait photographer who has taken some superb photos. At last we have someone who can properly capture the real beauty of our belts!

After seeing the quality of his images, we immediately asked Juan to shoot our bags and cases as well. We look forward to using many more of his excellent photos as our product range continues to grow.

Filtering through products
Wednesday, 18 January 2012 20:11
belts and briefcases UK

The search filter is installed and we're currently adding it to our shop categories. Visitors can now quickly customize and view the exact product features they're interested in. The search filter box is located at the top of the left hand column for easy use when you enter a category.

Not every category has the filter running yet. The process is rather slow as 1) products have to be added to the filter one at a time, and 2) separate categories for leather and canvas are being merged into each other. The shopping process isn't affected so everything can still be purchased in the normal way.

If anyone encounters a problem using the filter in one of the categories, drop us a line. Your patience is appreciated while the work is ongoing!

belts and briefcases UK

We're now back from our Christmas break and we hope everyone had a terrific start to the new year. Some adjustments are being made to our shop during January. The belt/hat/glove sizing guides are going to move, so you won't have to click to another page to check the size you need.

We're also including a search filter to help visitors quickly customize their product choices. It will be up and running soon.
